Interested in renewable energy but can’t find a course that you can attend?

Skillbuild will be offering a course for non-electricians in Albury, NSW on the 17-21 May.

This course is not a highly technical course but presents the ‘big picture’. It also gives handy tips

for designing and/or supervising your own projects.

Course Content

  • Solar PV principles – AS 5033 and AS 4777.1
  • Basic electrical theory
  • Designing systems – case studies and practical exercises
  • At what voltage do you need an Electrician and choosing one to work with
  • Batteries
  • Government rebates
  • Battery Storage on Grid
  • Stand Alone Systems
  • Solar Pumping
  • Generators
  • Wind and Hydro – basic introduction
  • Extra low voltage
  • Case studies

The course involves ‘hands on’ work, looking at existing systems and doing practical design work. If you have a project of your own bring it along to design in class.
